Scripture was written to be read: whole books, heard from beginning to end, in the shape their authors gave them. The Quire sets the Berean Standard Bible in a quiet, single-column page so you can do exactly that.

There are no section headings, footnotes, or cross-references breaking up the text. Prose is set in paragraphs and poetry in lines, so the narratives move like stories and the psalms and prophets read like the songs and oracles they are. Verse numbers are kept small, in navy, in the outer margin: there when you need to find your place, out of the way when you don't.

Each chapter opens with a centered heading, a brief summary in navy italic, and a hand-finished vine capital reversed out of solid navy. Running heads at the outer corners name every chapter on the page, so finding your place in the Psalms or the minor prophets is easy. Each book closes with the staurogram, the ancient tau-rho sign of the cross, a reminder that Christ is the cantus firmus beneath all of Scripture.
